Everyone's making their Black Friday shopping plans... but what if we got those new speakers AND put some extra money to our loans this year?
It's Thanksgiving time, and I'm spending time with my family (like many of you, as well). One of the items on the agenda is Black Friday shopping.
I don't know how you feel about Black Friday, and I know it can be a bit of a controversial subject, but I love it. Not because I love crowds and enjoy chasing people around for great deals, but because it's a tradition that I've had with my husband's family since well before we were ever married. It's a way that we spend time together, have great conversations, and every single year manage to complain about the fact that we can't find food. #DontJudge
Anyways, you're not here to read about my Thanksgiving traditions. But all of that is to say that this year we were discussing our Black Friday plans, and somebody asked me what I'm shopping for this year. And I realized, I don't actually want any stuff this year.
And then I realized what I wanted.
This year, I want to Black Friday shop for my future. I don't want to spend tons of money on things (although there's nothing at all wrong with that). This year, I want to shop for my future and buy some stocks and put some extra money toward my debt!
So that's what I'm doing, and I'm sharing this to see if anyone is in with me.
This isn't your typical "boycott Black Friday" post... don't do that. Go out, see the shops, and get yourself something! But just remember to also do something that your future self will thank you for, too.
Are you in?
Just pick one (or more!) of the following actions and do it! Post a picture/screenshot with #ShoppingForYourFuture and I'll share it and cheer you on!
I can't wait to see everyone's posts. If you need any help deciding what to do (or how do it), don't you dare hesitate for one second to reach out and let me know. Just shoot an email to email@example.com - I'll be monitoring email closely to help answer any questions you have!
